Fishing Report (Mid-October 2025)

Flows through town and at Chuck Lewis Wildlife Area are holding well. We're reporting good water and good chances. Our private stretches are producing too, so you’ve got some options here.

Right now it’s mostly streamer and nymph work. The bugs are still showing here and there. On cloudy days, keep an eye out for BWO hatches. We’re on the tail end of tracker season, so those smaller bugs are hanging on.

With cooler weather settling in, fish are getting more aggressive. This is a good time to push it. But a heads up: browns are spawning. Be cautious where you tread. If you come across patches of clean, washed gravel (redds, aka spawning beds), steer clear. Spawning conditions can last well into November, so don’t mess with those beds.
