Yampa Fishing Well Dispite Pressure 6/28

A recent article in Fly Fisherman magazine and unseasonably warm temps have contributed to increased river use in the last week.  Despite the pressure, the river keeps kicking out her fare share of good sized trout, to those who pick their water wisely and fish on the early and late margins of the day.  Tubers pretty much take over all public water on the Yampa from noon until about six.  Morning nymphing with PMD nymphs (like the bubbleback emerger) and caddis pupa has been the most reliable.  Evening dryfly fishing in the slow bends and deep pools with #14-16 rusty spinners and #16-18 caddis drys has also been good but fairly inconsistant.
