Tailwaters 6/27/06

The tailwaters at Stagecoach are fishing well with lots of baetis and midge hatches going on throughout the day.  Fishing with small beadhead and soft hackle patterns will work well.  Fish have also been feeding on the surface, using small BWO dries and emergers will work.  Scuds are also prevalent through this section of water, so make sure you have some to dead drift along the bottom if your other patterns are not working.  Be sure to use light tippet (5x,6x,7x) and small indicators, this section of the river is fairly shallow and clear.  Sight fishing is usually pretty easy.  Try to avoid the weekends and get on the water early, its only a quarter mile stretch so crowding can be a problem.  BE CURTIOUS TO OTHER ANGLERS AT ALL TIMES!!!
