Evening Trip 6/15
The river is on fire and the fish are hungry. Fished with Steve yesterday afternoon from 4-8 and had a fantastic trip. The fish were feeding aggressively on soft hackle pheasant tails and tungsten flash bugs size #14’s and #16’s bugs down deep. We used three big cannon balls to keep the flies in the zone. Had some eats on yellow stoneflies #12 and red squirrels #14. The fish were active at the get go but seemed to slow as the air temps dropped. We switched to caddis pupa/green #14 and picked up more fish. Landed 10 fish and hooked about 20. It’s on and only getting better!!
