Dry Fly action picking up!!!
Mornings are starting out slow, but stick with it. The PMD’s are coming off thick at about noon. Look for fish feeding in the foam lines and shallow riffles. The bugs are about #14-16 and very light in color. Trail an emerger such as Barr’s PMD emerger or a soft hackled pheasant tail behind your dry to pick up bonus fish feeding on emerging nymphs and ignoring the duns. The biggest fish today took the emergers. You will also see a spinner fall about 4pm. #14 rusty spinners will do the trick. Look for fish tucked in tight to the banks sipping these spent bugs. Watch the slow eddies carefully and you will see heads. Use long leaders and make quiet presentations as the flows come down.
